Pray for Pakistan-Dengue Fever Epidemic

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!!
Please note that Pakistan is hit by Dengue Fever Epidemic very badly especially Punjab that mainly includes Lahore where we have about 43 congregations related to us directly and about 100 indirectly. By now I have received about 100 emails of help for the medical equipment, medicines and mosquito nets for the use against the mosquito bites or for those who are already sick with it!!
In Lahore alone till today 10244 people have been reported sick with Dengue and in Punjab province the numbers are 11584. In the last 24 hours 716 new cases has been reported and the numbers are increasing dramatically every day due to the none availability of the resources and lack of awareness about safety precautions among people. More than 100 have already died and many are critically ill and that even included Christian ministers and their families.
Dr. Rev. Hizkiel Serosh lost her wife with Dengue Fever and we have reports of other Pakistani Christians including an 18 year old girl died with the dengue.
Our Dear Brother Ephraim Hidayat Head of Evangelical Christian Assembly working with Shaffaf Trust in Pakistan along with his wife and Son is sick with Dengue fever and I request to all of you kindly keep him and his family in your prayers. He is a wonderful brother in Christ and full of passion to serve the Lord in Pakistan.
In Sind province flood’s destruction is continued and 29000 villages in 21 districts with more than 100,000 people have been affected. Many have died and Children and women are among those who are suffering more. 64000 Animals/cattle have died and crop’s been destroyed as well in this flood.
People are becoming sick after using dirty water and bad food or no food at all. We have about 30 churches in these areas directly connected with us and who are asking for help to provide clean water, food, medication and milk for infants. Please keep it in your prayers.

You Can Help 1,000 Children Know Jesus for $83/Month

“Mr. Sunday School” and our Board Chair Elmer Towns says, “I so approve of this program that I give one-half of my tithes and that’s over and above my local church tithe; one half of my tithe from my books goes to this campaign. Why? Because, I want to reach the children of the world.”

The One Million Children campaign was developed to focus attention, rally support and spread awareness of the significance of helping children around the world know Jesus. The One Million Children story is now being shared through a storytelling website and a One Million Children movie entitled, ‘A Journey of the Heart’ that is currently offered free in DVD or digital formats. There is even an infectious One Million Children song that causes toes to tap and hearts to move to a Bob Marley like reggae beat.

$1 covers the total cost for an entire year of children’s Bible study or Sunday School, including a culturally relevant translation, teacher training, printing and distribution of the materials, delivering the lessons and evaluation.

He says, “For $83 per month, we can help one thousand children a month.”

$23,700 Needed to Bring God’s Word to 75,000 Kindergarten Children in China For Entire Year

Immediate Demand for Printing of Kindergarten Level Children’s Bible Curriculum

Expected Impact: 75,000 Children

Funds required: $23,700 or 31.6 cents per child for an entire year of resources

Background: Our on-field ministry team has finished translating four complete years of four different age groups of culturally relevant children’s Bible curriculum and teaching resources. All along the way, we have tested over 10,000 copies of these materials with churches, of all kinds and sizes across China. By an unmistakable move of God, we were blessed to witness children’s Bible curriculum be officially published in China for the first time since 1949. Based on the demand of the first printing last year, we have an urgent request to print a second complete year of Kindergarten children’s Bible curriculum. The average class size is currently 15 students per class. The need is for 20,000 units (5,000 of each of the four seasons). Early Christian education is embraced and currently in demand in China.

Evaluation: We have established a detailed evaluation process that our project manager provides on a regular basis. Evaluation criteria is prearranged and measured against how effectively we deliver on our mission and make a distinctive impact, relative to our resources. This is an unduplicated effort; no other ministry is providing this comprehensive service to the Christian community in China.

$11,340 Needed for Over 36,000 Children to Know Jesus in South Africa

From the Desk of the President

Last year I sent an incredibly hopeful email entitled Self Sustainability within Reach about promising developments for any church in South Africa to establish a comprehensive, practical and sustainable children’s Bible program.

In that email, I shared some unmistakable moves of God including the miraculous completion of what some now consider the most comprehensive, cross cultural children’s Bible curriculum ever developed on the continent; years ahead of schedule. We celebrate the Lord’s goodness – then and now.

Since then our small ministry team has been fighting a relentless, ferocious battle for the young people of South Africa. Other religions and evil doers are enticing these children and their families away with their free anti-Christian education, empty promises and worthless trinkets. At the same time, Christian support from America has evaporated without a sound; like a watering hole in the African desert sun. Now, the very souls of these young people are at risk.

We have an urgent need for a battle we know we can win – only $11,340 is needed to help 36,000 children know and grow in Jesus by printing 6,000 Teachers’ Guides and Reproducible Student’s Guides. The impact and success track record of these resources has been consistent and predictable.
