With 191 cities with more than one million residents in China, we needed a comprehensive and viral Urban Strategy. As part of a planned roll-out, we recently developed and launched a Chinese language website specifically to offer downloadable lesson plans and training materials for anyone to use for free.

While we anticipated increasing monthly website usage as word-of-mouth spread, we did not expect what happened next. Members of the Chinese Church reviewed the materials and were delighted with what they saw. The Church ultimately decided to license the resources and officially publish children’s Bible curriculum for the first time since 1949. Additionally, their intent was not only to use the content internally but also to sell all 16 books openly through their Church bookstores.

Estimated Impact: 80,000 Teachers | 960,000 Children

Although it is still illegal to evangelize children under 18 years old, the Lord has miraculously provided the way for these beautiful books to be printed and legitimately distributed throughout the county. This is an unmistakable move of God. Over 400 registered church bookstores across the country will now be offering these children’s Bible lessons and teaching resources to anyone interested in buying the children’s materials.

Now prayer and funding is required. Here is what is needed next to Introduce Children’s Bible Resources to the Entire Chinese Church:

• Pull Curriculum through Bookstore System – Provide product knowledge instruction, promote train-the-trainer courses, special recognition for early adopters and online selling
• Urban Awareness – Develop ongoing Internet communications with natural partners and champions, create online content, enhance website, optimize search engines and connect purposefully through social networking
• Multi-Media Training – Create content for streaming video and audio of lessons and training for use on Internet and radio driving potential customers to website for online purchasing and/or to participating bookstores
